What is Obama's Agenda for Israel?

by Mike Evans

Shalom from your Jerusalem World Center in the Holy City! I am here as your Ambassador this week during the Obama visit, so please pray for me.

Here's an inside view of why and what the President Obama is up to this week in Jerusalem:

1. President Obama's primary purpose in coming to Israel is to push PM Netanyahu for more time to allow diplomacy and economic penalties to run their course with Iran.

Netanyahu, in a speech to the United Nations in September, said Iran was about six months away from being able to build a bomb.

Obama told an Israeli television station this past week that the U.S. thinks it would take "over a year or so for Iran to actually develop a nuclear weapon." You can watch that Israeli TV interview here:

Obama will view an Iron Dome battery at the airport, part of the missile defense system the U.S. has helped pay for. This will be subtle signal to Israel that if you attack Iran you will lose America's support for the Iron Dome.

2. We are also expecting Obama to push the PM hard on the two-state solution to give up land for the Palestinian state, including the division of Jerusalem into two capitals. For more on this story, go here:
http://www.timesofisrael.com/netanyahu-and-his-partner-rivals/

3. The centerpiece of Obama's visit will be a speech in Jerusalem to an audience mainly of Israeli students. It's part of the President's effort to appeal to the Israeli public, particularly young people. Bypassing the Knesset, Obama will attempt to go directly to Israel's citizens. We'll see what the speech contains soon enough.

4. He will make several cultural stops, all steeped in symbolism, in the region. They include visits to the Holocaust memorial at Yad Vashem; Mount Herzl, where he'll lay wreaths at the graves of Theodor Herzl, and also the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.

5. Traveling to the West Bank, Obama will meet with Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas, and his Prime Minister, Salam Fayyad, in Ramallah.

6. Finally, President Obama will make a 24-hour stop in Jordan too.

Please be in SERIOUS PRAYER over the next few days, as the events that unfold here shortly, will lay the framework for the U.S. relationship with Israel for many years to come.

Their tears of joy are because of you!

Dear Friend,

At 10:00 a.m. your Jerusalem World Center was jam-packed with poor forgotten elderly Holocaust survivors. Your heart of love and the generous gifts of so many Jerusalem Prayer Team members provided the resources for us to host this amazing Hanukkah party for them. We provided a wonderful feast for these dear people, and they left with gifts of money to buy food, medicine, warm clothing, and other urgent necessities

Heaven thanks you today. The tears of joy that I saw in the eyes of so many were there because of you! You have done something that touches the heart of God and blessed what He wishes to bless, and I know that He will bless you today.

The Holy City is in the midst of celebrating Hanukkah this week. I am here to fast and pray for a miracle provision from God so that we can complete the purchase of the Jerusalem World Center. I urgently need your help right now to make the final payment on this amazing facility.

This beautiful building will be the largest property in the nation of Israel to be owned by US Bible-believers. It will be the first Christian museum in the nation to tell the story of Christian love, such as that of Corrie ten Boom's family in Haarlem, Holland. Their home was purchased in 1987 and restored in 1988 and is open today because of the Jerusalem Prayer Team and friends like you. I serve as chairman of the board.

In addition, this wonderful building in Jerusalem will be the headquarters for the Jerusalem Prayer Team worldwide. It will provide round-the-clock prayer for Jerusalem and the Jewish people in fulfillment of prophecy, and it will be the address for compassionate Christians who are reaching out to serve poor Jewish souls.

“I will bless those who bless thee...” (Genesis 12:3).

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love thee” (Psalm 122:6).

You and I are part of something that has eternal significance in the city on which the spotlight of Heaven shines. Heaven and earth met in Jerusalem and will meet again. Everything began prophetically and will end in the only city in the world in which God wrote His name.

A dear friend has stepped forward to match your gift today. In other words, if you give $77,777.77, it will be doubled to $155,555.54. Or if you give $777.77, it will be doubled to $1,555.54. If you give $77.77, it will be doubled to $155.54. This is a huge answer to prayer! Please know that whatever you can give will also be doubled in Heaven in your Kingdom account.

Thus far 230 people have given $27,835. Those gifts will be matched 100% so now we have $55,670. We still need to raise $361,053.50 which will be matched to make $722,107. Please pray with me right now for supernatural favor that this need will be met.

The Amazing Number Seven

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” —PSALM 12:6 (KJV)

The number seven plays a key role throughout the Bible. There are more than 850 references to seven and multiples of seven found in the Scriptures. It is particularly important and featured in the study of prophecy and end time events.

From the beginning of the Scriptures, the number seven plays a prominent role. Seven represents completion, and is the Divine number. God created the world in seven days, and seven was the most sacred number for the Hebrew people. The seventh day was set aside and consecrated by God as the sabbath day. Noah took the clean animals into the ark by sevens, and it was seven days after he entered the ark that the Flood began.

The consecration of Aaron to be high priest of Israel lasted seven days. Each year on Yom Kippur—the Day of Atonement—the high priest sprinkled the blood on the mercy seat seven times. God ordained seven Feasts for the Israelites to observe. The children of Israel marched around the walls of Jericho for seven days and on the seventh day they marched around the walls seven times before the walls fell down. The list goes on and on. Solomon spent seven years building the Temple. Naaman washed in the Jordan River seven times to be cleansed of leprosy. And the number seven is very closely connected with prophecy as well. In the dreams that Joseph interpreted for Pharaoh, there were seven fat cows and seven lean cows, and seven good ears of corn and seven thin ears of corn. These signified what was about to happen—seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine.

In the book of Daniel, the prophet was given a vision of seventy weeks, each one of which represented a period of seven years in Israel’s future. In Revelation the number seven occurs repeatedly. There are seven churches, seven spirits, seven starts, seven seals, seven trumpets, seven vials, seven thunders, seven dooms and seven new things.

Understanding the importance of the number seven in God’s prophetic plan, we were stunned and thrilled to find that our payments for the Jerusalem World Center would be $777,777 per month! This is no coincidence—it is just one more sign to us that God is at work to build this great beacon of hope and love for His Chosen People in the Holy City. By being part of this effort, each Jerusalem Prayer Team member is becoming part of God’s prophetic plan for our generation.

PM Netanyahu Says “World’s Commitment is Hollow”

Dear JPT Member,
Greetings from the Holy City.
Some 120 nations from around the world sent representatives to a major conference in Tehran this week, legitimizing the murderous Islamic regime by their presence. Among their number was the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, the newly elected president of Egypt and Muslim Brotherhood member Mohammed Morsi, and the head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.
My old friend Prime Minister Netanyahu clearly pointed out the hypocrisy in an interview this week. He said, “Six million of my people were exterminated in an act of genocide. The world pledged ‘never again’; it passed treaties against genocide; it formed the United Nations; it made a commitment that this thing will never be repeated. Today, over 120 countries are in Tehran, saluting a regime that not only denies the Holocaust, but pledges to annihilate the Jewish state.”
The world may be able to pretend that Iran is just another nation with normal ambitions, but Israel cannot afford to make that mistake. I am here in the Jewish state as your ambassador, meeting with leaders and working to do everything we can to encourage and uplift and help a nation on the brink of war. They urgently need us right now—and we cannot afford to ignore the pleas for help of God’s Chosen People.
Barukh atah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha-olam, ozier Yisrael bigvurah.
Blessed art thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who girds Israel with might.
Your ambassador to Jerusalem,
Dr. Mike Evans

A precious and powerful prayer for you

The Aaronic prayer—the prayer of the high priest for the blessing of God to come upon the people of God—was actually dictated by God Himself. He told Aaron through Moses what and how he should pray…and it is one of the most precious and powerful prayers in the entire Bible.

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, Thus you shall bless the people of Israel: you shall say to them, The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. So shall they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them” (Numbers 6:22-27).

I am praying this prayer over you for the blessing of God upon every part of your life today. Please join me right now and pray it out loudly. We need God’s power and blessing for this day, and in faith we can claim it together. And we need to urgently stand for Israel; the threats against the Jewish state and the Jewish people are growing day by day.

I stood at the press conference and confronted the Secretary of State over Israel

In 1991 I went to the Middle East Peace Conference held in Madrid, Spain. The entire purpose of this meeting of world powers was to sell out Israel and force the Jewish state to hand over Jerusalem. In the press conference, I stood and confronted Secretary of State James Baker over Israel. I told him that no matter what he proposed, God had already settled the issue of Jerusalem; it is the capital of the Jewish people, and it is the city where God has placed His name forever.

There were over 100 journalists from around the world, many of them from Muslim nations, in that room as I spoke to Mr. Baker. Many of them were so angry that they hissed like snakes as I asked, “Mr. Secretary, every capital in the world is recognized as a capital except for Jerusalem. Will you recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital?” He refused.

We need to defend the Jewish state and the Jewish people around the world. more than ever.  Visit the  Jerusalem Prayer Team website to show your support for God's Chosen Nation and and global peace.

Please pray for the peace in Jerusalem and the whole world as we celebrate Independence Day

I am looking forward to spending time with my family tomorrow to celebrate the birthday of America and to give thanks for the great and wonderful blessing of freedom we enjoy. One of the things that drives me to stand for Israel is the knowledge that my children and grandchildren will live in a nation that is either blessed by God…or cursed by Him.

We must not forget that God has blessed our nation in large measure because we have historically been a blessing to His Chosen People. All the way back to George Washington, America’s leaders have supported and defended the rights of the Jewish people.

Despite “truce” terrorist rockets still landing in southern Israel

Despite a so-called “truce” that the Hamas terrorist organization has announced, rockets and missiles from Gaza continue to rain down on the Jewish homes and farms of southern Israel. My heart breaks when I think of these precious poor families—many of the residents of these little towns and villages are refugees from other countries who cannot afford to live anywhere else—huddling in tiny bomb shelters hoping to survive these attacks.

In my spirit I hear the cry of God “Comfort ye, comfort ye My people” (Isaiah 40:1). Will you help us answer the call today?

Joseph of Arimathaea gave his very best for the Lord…what will you do?

When Jesus was crucified, Joseph of Arimathaea went boldly to Pilate, asking him for the body of our Lord. Joseph immediately purchased fine linen (Mark 15:46) and proceeded to Golgotha to remove the body of Jesus from the cross. He wrapped Christ’s body in the linen, and it was laid in the tomb that he had prepared for his own burial.

Joseph lived in Ramla, and even though he had spent a fortune to purchase a stone tomb in Jerusalem, he gave it to the Lord and was later buried in Ramla. He did something great for God. I want to encourage you today to join me in supporting the Jerusalem World Center as we comfort the house of Israel.

The Jerusalem Prayer Team World Headquarters

Over the years, I’ve been asked the same question repeatedly: Who inspired you to do what you do? Why have you gone to 41 war zones and worked as an ambassador for 40 years to Jerusalem?

The most obvious answer to that question: The Lord, who appeared to me at the age of eleven after I had been strangled and left for dead by my own father. There are also four more people who have inspired me. They are my darling wife, Carolyn, who was the first person on earth ever to believe in me and still does. (She says my life is the greatest evidence of Christ that she knows.) Following her are Corrie ten Boom, Prime Minister Menachem Begin, and YOU, my partner. (You are part of my FAMILY!)

In 1988 I purchased and restored the home and clock shop that had belonged to Corrie ten Boom’s family with the help of my ministry partners. It has been open since that time at no cost to the visitor. No one in the organization has ever received a penny in compensation for their assistance with the work. I’ve even paid my own expenses—hotels and flights to Ha’arlem, Holland. It’s the least I can do, since the ten Boom family saved 800 Jewish lives and sacrificed their own to do it.

It was this inspiration that gave me the vision of creating a museum in Jerusalem. I wanted to tell the story of Corrie’s family, which is virtually unknown to the Jewish people in Israel. Then I realized there were hundreds of other amazing stories that also needed to be told.

I have dedicated my life to telling the story and to encouraging the people of Israel. I recently spearheaded the establishment of the Mike Evans Museum in Jerusalem, officially called the Friends of Zion Heritage Center.  The Museum is yet another way of communicating that story that so many so-called Christians have tarnished, so much so that the Jewish people – God’s chosen – have been unable to comprehend.

The Friends of Zion Heritage Center is unique, simply based on the use of 21st century technologies that make it a museum of experience that takes visitors well beyond the ordinary and expected. It is a place where this love story is unfolded for all to acknowledge and receive. Not a typical museum, it highlights among other things: cutting-edge technology, Heroes of Israel, Righteous Gentiles.
