What would happen to an American or Israeli city in a “dirty bomb” attack?

Israel's Vice Prime Minister, Moshe Ya'alon, was previously head of military intelligence and Army Chief of Staff. He is an expert on Iranian terrorism, and described the potential for a "dirty bomb" attack this way: "You can bring a dirty bomb to any city using maritime cargo or air cargo or ground cargo. It doesn't matter. It might be brought to be used in a very highly populated urban area.

"It would cause devastating collateral damage—killing many civilians in a concentrated area of a big city. It might be tens of thousands; it might be hundreds of thousands. It depends on the quantity of the materials in the dirty bomb." In addition to those killed by the initial blast and the fallout as radioactive materials are spread by the explosion, a major downtown area could be contaminated so that it would be rendered uninhabitable for years to come.

As Iran comes ever closer to completing its nuclear weapons program, the day when Israel and the rest of the world must deal with the awful reality draws near. Yet instead of doing anything effective about this grave threat, the world is focusing on Israel. In some ways it's not surprising since in his Cairo speech, President Obama identified the Arab-Israeli conflict as second only to Al Qaeda as a threat to peace. But it's ridiculous! De-legitimization At Its Worst

Since its rebirth in 1948, Israel has endured and overcome military attacks from neighboring nations. She has been assailed by gun-wielding fanatics and terrorists encased in explosive-laden backpacks. Israel stands today because of the grit and tenacity of the Jewish people and the providence of God. Having been deterred by Israel's security forces, her enemies have turned to defaming the nation by questioning her very right to exist. This attack is both convoluted and hazardous. The airwaves are constantly bombarded by those wishing to prove Israel's lack of legitimacy as a nation and detailing her supposed "war crimes" against humanity. I don't often quote Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi war criminal, but in this instance, it is appropriate: "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."

The denial of the authentic claim of the Jewish people to occupy their homeland is de-legitimization at its worst . Those who would wish to strip the Jewish people of their birthright are subtle and urbane. Israel is cleverly portrayed as a nation of immoral people whose birth is illegitimate and character questionable. The test for those embroiled in this issue is to separate valid criticism from innuendo--to distinguish the truth from the lie. In peace talks, Israel is portrayed as the recalcitrant child unwilling to share her toys with the other kids on the block. The Palestinians are the poor, deprived underlings. They are the orphans with a hidden roomful of toys donated by those who pity the underprivileged--the bully on the block who somehow manages to elicit sympathy while surreptitiously pummeling the innocent. The fires of public opinion are burning brightly against the State of Israel.

Western countries and leaders unfortunately seem to have embraced this crusade for de-legitimizing Israel. The Liberal Left has joined forces with fanatical Muslim elements in an attempt to crush the very life from the Jewish nation comparable in size to the state of New Jersey. Israel is expected to kowtow to the demands of its detractors without a whimper and accept her intended fate without a fight. With the Liberal Left emphasis on human rights and a finger of blame pointed at Israel as a nation that intentionally violates those standards, world leaders have become more accepting of the de-legitimization process.

Answering the Wake Up Call from Hell

A war of Biblical proportions is being fought in Washington DC. Time Is Running Out To Save Jerusalem

Last September I was at the United Nations, confronting Iranian ministers and even the president of Iran face-to-face. I arranged an exclusive interview between Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Fox News Network to expose his extreme apocalyptic “twelver” beliefs to the world.

I have defended the nation of Israel for decades. My first experience was in 1988 when I confronted Yasser Arafat at the 43rd General Assembly of the United Nations in Geneva. This September, the Palestinian Authority will receive official recognition of statehood by the UN, if we sleep.

More than one hundred nations worldwide have already recognized a Palestinian state. Israeli leaders estimate that as many as two-thirds of the UN members will have recognized the Palestinian state before the UN convenes in September. Germany is on the cusp of recognizing Palestinian statehood now, as is France, and the entire European Union. They will succeed in cursing Israel if we are silent.

President Obama is preparing a peace plan that he will deliver in the city of Jerusalem on June 22 at a summit meeting which I will also attend. He is going to take his proposal to Israel to confront Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Mr. Netanyahu, with whom I plan to meet in Washington, DC on May 22, will speak to a joint session of the Congress on May 24 to take his plan to the House of Representatives and the Senate in an effort to counter the Obama strategy.

President Obama fully supports Jerusalem being divided and East Jerusalem, the birthplace of Christianity, becoming the official Islamic capital of a Palestinian state. The plan is for the UN to recognize statehood for the Palestinians the same way it did for Israel in 1948. 110 out of 192 countries have already recognize the Palestinian state with less than 126 days to go before the General Assembly.

I am asking you to stand up with me for Jerusalem before it is too late. I need your prayers.
