Secretary of State John Kerry has taken his “dog and pony act” to the world stage. In a meeting of a group of Trilateral Commission senior representatives and specialists from the United States, the European Union, Russia, and Japan, Kerry said that Israel was on the verge of becoming an “apartheid state” if it didn’t give the Palestinians their own nation. What a colossal display of audacity from one who is supposed to be Israel’s ally. Said Kerry:
“A two-state solution will be clearly underscored as the only real alternative. Because a unitary state winds up either being an apartheid state with second-class citizens—or it ends up being a state that destroys the capacity of Israel to be a Jewish state” (https://uk.news.yahoo.com/report-kerry-says-israel-risks-becoming-apartheid-state-060425281.html#IP21cCS).
This is outrageous! How dare Mr. Kerry accuse Israel of embracing segregation if it does not capitulate to a terror state? Not only is the Palestinian Authority a terrorist organization and the world’s most infamous, but now it has united with Hamas, an even more evil group.
Hamas is on the international terrorist lists of the US, the EU, the UK and Canada, as well as other countries globally. When Osama bin Laden was killed, Hamas condemned the US action. In January 2011, Hamas enlisted Jaish-al-Islam (Army of Islam), its al-Qaeda affiliate in Egypt to murder twenty-four Coptic Christians. In 2013, Hamas executed sixteen Egyptians and wounded 130 in the Nile Delta.
The Hamas Charter calls for the annihilation of every Jew in the State of Israel. On March 13, 2008, Hamas called for a mahraqa (Holocaust) of the Jews. Its leaders have declared that Allah punished the Jews by means of the Germans, and now it is the turn for Islamic nations to punish them once again. It would not be possible in one article to name the number of suicide bombings that have been launched in Israel by Hamas, i.e., bombings that took place at Dimona, Kerem Shalom, the Eilat bakery, Kedumim, Rosh Ha’ir restaurant, Ha’Sharon mall, Hadera market, Beersheba central bus station, Stage Club, Carmel market, French Hill Junction, and more (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Hamas_suicide_attacks).
Rather than John Kerry attacking Hamas and the PA over the demonic unification of two terrorist organizations, he attacked Israel. Most of the Middle East Arab states consider themselves Muslim countries. Does Secretary of State Kerry call them apartheid states? No! He reserved that term for Israel. In Saudi Arabia, Christians are not allowed to wear a necklace with a cross or carry a Bible openly. Has he called it an apartheid state?
Six million Jews were slaughtered by the Nazis during World War II. This is Holocaust Remembrance week in which we remember the dead, and Kerry dares to refer to the Jewish state of Israel as an “apartheid state.” Had Israel been a state during World War II, there would have been fewer Holocaust victims.
Arabs living in Israel are afforded more rights than those living in any Islamic state. Israeli Arabs have the right to vote in elections and to hold office. Women have the same rights as men. This “apartheid” slur against Israel because its leaders have sanctioned a wall of protection separating the country and a terror state is insanity. Tell this to the people of Sderot in southern Israel where thousands of rockets have been lobbed at them from Gaza.
Aparthied was a state-sanctioned system of racial discrimination between 1948 and 1994 dominating every aspect of daily life in South Africa. This is not even remotely the case in Israel.
Several years ago, I debated Al Sharpton regarding this very issue on MSNBC’s Hardball. I said to him, “For a moment I would like you to imagine you are the mayor of Harlem. The Ku Klux Klan has just fired thousands of missiles into your city. Hundreds of Black people have been killed and wounded. And, by the way, that the people of Harlem cannot live in any area occupied by the Klan. Now, I would like you to defend the KKK. That’s precisely what you are doing by defending Hamas and the PA.”
It appears that John Kerry needs to study his genealogy. Surely, he is related to British Prime Minister Arthur Neville Chamberlain who served from 1937 to 1940. He conceded the Sudentenland region of Czechoslovakia to Hitler all in the name of appeasement. He sent a signal to the West that it did not have the moral courage to confront evil (http://www.biography.com/people/neville-chamberlain-9243721#awesm=~oCKEJuuAVNoNjj).
What a pathetic signal Secretary of State John Kerry has just sent to the evildoers of the world—from Putin in Russia, to Kim Jong-un in North Korea, to Ayatollah Khamenei in Iran.
